Suggested Use

Take 1 teaspoon to 2 scoops daily at least 2-3 hours before or after other medications. Can be mixed into your favourite beverage and taken with a fat-containing meal, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner. Stir briskly and drink immediately. Maintain adequate fluid intake.

Cautions

Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 4 weeks or prior to use if you are taking blood thinners or medications which inhibit peristaltic movement (e.g. opioids, loperamide), if you have been instructed to follow a low protein diet, have a liver or kidney disease, or have symptoms such as bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever [as these could be signs of abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the esophagus or the superior opening of the stomach (cardia), a potential or existing intestinal blockage, paralysis of the intestine, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflamed bowel or appendicitis). Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting or difficulty breathing after taking this product. Some people may experience diarrhea. May cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhea) occur, worsen, or persist beyond 3 days. Do not use if you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate, difficulty swallowing, an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment), or if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or failure to defecate following the use of another laxative product. Contains milk products and soy and has come into contact with wheat and seafood; do not use if you have such allergies.
